2018-04-26 The new Finite Volume Cubed-Sphere (FV3) GFS is now running in pre-parallel mode and available in part on SV.  This means (a) infrequent updates, (b) no delivery time reliability, and (c) not all files are yet available.  We are posting the available max res data now. Please note that until the 30-day evaluation period (not yet scheduled), this will not be a reliable data feed from NOAA.  They still do not have certain resolution levels needed for composite and many national maps yet.   You can find examples here. gfs, FV3, pre-parallel
2018-04-20 Teleconnection pages now update without refreshing when viewing an incoming model run. Teleconnections, corporate
2018-04-06 Midday GFS model predictor now includes precipitation for agriculture interests.  Contact Joe Flinn (joe@commoditywx.com) for a free trial of upgraded service. GFSCast, precipitation
2018-04-04 Tabs for each model variable options are now organized by type for easier navigation.  See example here. Navigation
2018-04-02 After recently adding China, the analogs (under Features menu) now include Australia and a new North Atlantic to Europe coverage area. Australia, Europe, China, Analogs
2018-03-28 We have added a new real-time feed for grid-corrected max/min city temperature forecasts for each ensemble member.  See documentation here for Real-time Ensemble Member Corrected Daily Max/Min API, Members, Max/Min, Cities
2018-03-28 China-based analog calculations are added to the Model Analogs section under Features.  Also, new viewing options are added to see analog impacts (like Europe). Analogs, China
2018-03-27 We now have entire Southern Hemisphere composites (scroll down left side). Southern Hemisphere
2018-03-19 Day-by-day clusters now available for megacluster, including what % of each model is included in each one.  Find them under the Features menu or go here. megacluster, daily
2018-03-15 We have consolidated the American and European (Medium Range) menu options for easier access between low-res and max-res views.  All pre-existing links still exist, but the menu is now cleaner and faster to navigate. Menu Upgrade
2018-03-13 MJO phase forecasts join other main teleconnections in updating live during model runs.  See more here. MJO, API
2018-03-13 You can now see what percent of each model makes up each mega cluster composite forecast.  Examples here. megacluster, Composites
2018-03-12 Links to updating full history are now available on the API reference page for the teleconnections and the following are now updating in real-time for each model run:  aao, ao, epo, nao, pna, soi, wpo Telconnections, Real-Time, history
2018-03-08 We are adjusting our snow accumulation threshold to 34F (from 32F) to better capture snowfall risks around marginal temperature events.  This starts with the 14z HRRR cycle ahead and then the 12z GFS model cycle.  One exception is the low-res GFS, which uses the Cobb method. snow
2018-03-06 Model comparison weighted degree day forecast pages now show estimated verification data too.  See example here. WDDs
2018-03-05 Cities from Europe, Asia, and South America added to the 2-meter forecast page.  Check out Heathrow example here. City Forecasts, International, South America, Europe, Asia
2018-02-26 You can now toggle on individual ensemble members for the EIA week weighted degree day forecasts here. WDDs, Ensemble Members
2018-02-02 Hovmoller options now include 0 to 15N and 0 to 15S here. Hovmoller
2018-02-01 The automated model weighted degree day emails now include more features: 12 and 24-hour same-day changes EIA week climatology (10 and 30Y normals) Probability of exceeding normal based on ensemble members (and change from prior run) Corporate customers can add this email by going to My Account and Edit Profile to choose which emails to receive. wdd, Automated Model Emails
2018-01-25 River Basin overlay options available now for NW Hydro, Northwest Expanded, Western USA, PacNW, and NW map projections. PacNW Hydro
