2021-01-19 New Implied Bal-Month Degree Day Forecasts available on StormVista for all medium range models. They take the current forecast and run either the 10 or 30-year normal balance of month for a total estimate with each model cycle. Line charts let you see forecast progression and a table at the bottom of the page lets you do a quick assessment of the modeling range (color-coded by departure from normal). Default is 10-year normal, but you can toggle to 30-year as well. Find this new product under the Features ---> WDD, but you can also find Bal-Mon WDD on the Quick Navigation toolbar on any WDD page on StormVista.
2021-01-08 You can now see telecon overlays to add to upper level maps for the EAWR, SCAND, EPO, WPO, NAO, ABNA, and PNA. Find these overlays by clicking the overlay button just above the map that you've chosen.
2021-01-05 GFS ensemble weeklies are available for corporate customers for various time periods like EIA weeks, 16-20 day, 16-30 day, Mon-Fri power weeks, and the Mon-Sun weeks to match against the European weeklies. Eventually, NOAA plans this data to replace the CFS modeling and recently, they have offered significantly different guidance from each other. We also feature daily GFS Ensemble forecasts out 34-35 days (depending on the time zone). Find all of these GEFS weekly products under the Long menu along the top of SV and the daily composites are also found under Features --> Composites.
2020-12-11 U.S. regional verifications are now available on StormVista like this ERCOT 6-10 day example linked here. Find these new verifications under Features --> Model Metrics ---> Verification
2020-12-10 10mb Zonal Wind forecasts at 65N are now available for the European and American models, including all ensemble members. See an example here and find it under Features menu at top and choosing Telecons and Forcing.
2020-12-02 The HRRR model (under the Short Range menu) is upgraded at the 12z cycle today with 0, 06, 12, and 18z runs now going out to 48 hours. The RAP model (under the Short Range menu) is also updated with the model now going out to 51 hours for 03, 09, 15, 21z cycles. New variables include smoke and max surface hail size.

2020-11-10 Long term global wind anomaly forecasts are now available for over a month ahead via the NOAA CFS weeklies model on CWG. You can find this new guidance under the Long menu along the top of the SV page.
2020-11-03 GLAAM forecasts are now available for CFS Weeklies. Find it listed under the Long and Features menus. For Features, it is found under the Weekly Telecons and Forcing sub-menu. See the latest example here: https://www.stormvistawxmodels.com/sv/glaam-weekly

2020-10-27 Clients who receive the European weeklies can now see daily composites of that model as well out to Day 35 after each Monday and Thursday update. Find them under the Long Menu in the European Weeklies sub-option and also find them under the Features menu by choosing Composites and then Daily Composites (Long). An example is here.
2020-10-19 Similar to the new GEFS daily composites, we now have the CFS available out to day 35. You can find them in two places (under the Long Menu choosing CFS Weeklies or under the Features menu choosing Composites and Composites Daily - Long). You can go directly there now too by clicking here.
2020-10-08 LNG facilities in TX/LA are now added as an overlay option for SV maps. Click the overlay button above the map and choose LNG Facilities.
2020-10-06 New GEFS Extended Daily Composites are available on StormVista. You can find them two ways: (1) under the Long ---> GFS-ENS-Weekly option or (2) under the Features --> Composites --> Daily Composites (Long) option. 2020-10-05 The new GEFS ensemble extended out 35 days is now available on SV under the Long menu (GEFS-ENS-WEEKLY).  Like the CFS and Euro weeklies, we provide 16-20 day, 16-30 day, EIA weeks, Mon-Fri weeks, and Mon-Sun weeks. You can find the latest version here: https://www.stormvistawxmodels.com/sv/gfs-ens-weekly Please note the model updates once a day (on the 0z run) and it takes nearly 24 hours to process with updates arriving at 11 pm EDT.  The latest version available is based on the 10/4 initialization. 2020-09-03 New maps show placement of low pressures in Tropics for three intensity tiers.  Seen an example here: https://www.stormvistawxmodels.com/sv/model/gfs-ens-suite/12z/tropatl/274-low-pressure-plotter Find these maps in the typical regions for tracking tropical systems either under the Ens Tools tab or the Upper Level and MSLP tab (found in both spots).
2020-09-03 ECMWF is now adding Tropical Cyclone tracks for the 6z and 18z runs for the first time.
